Deadly Mushrooms.

Galerena Marginata or more sinisterly named Funeral Bell is an extremely poisonous mushroom found in the autumn on decaying wood. It contains very similar ‘Amatoxins’ to the more infamous Death Cap mushroom, and therefore is equally dangerous.
Found on a local forest walk this week.
Ingestion leads to;
Severe abdominal pain.
Vomiting and diarrhoea.
Feelings of temporary remission (as with the Death Cap).
Then a rapid decline with organ failure and death.
Immediate medical intervention must be obtained at the first symptoms.
Picking mushrooms is a very serious business and should not be undertaken lightly.
If in doubt ‘DON’T PICK IT’
