Hunstanton Cliffs

The cliffs at Hunstanton are west facing sea cliffs, rising up to 18M high and extending 1.3K NNE from Hunstanton Promenade to St. Edmunds Point, Old Hunstanton.
The geology features three distinctive formations of marine origin - the Carstone Formation (orange) at the cliff base, followed above by the Hunstanton Formation (red) formerly known as the Red Chalk, and the Ferriby Chalk (white) extending to the cliff-top.
Fossils can be found in the white chalk which has fallen on to the beach through natural erosion of the cliff
