Middle Spotted Woodpecker

A pair of Middle Spotted Woodpeckers chose to build their nest on an extremely busy road junction in the middle of a village near Parakela These birds are normally quite shy but the traffic didn't seem to bother them. We parked up and watched them for several minutes, took a few shots and then left them to it, I hope they were successful in raising their young.
