Very rare and much sought after bird which has almost mythical status on Lesvos. Very few reports since Greek records began. On the whole of the Greek mainland and including the Greek archipelago all the sightings have been on Lesvos. This is because of Lesvos's close proximity (5 miles) to the Turkish mainland, where there is sporadic breeding. A hugely exiting find for myself and Susan.
